Apparently, Chinese youth aren’t drinking enough of their governments kool-aid. (Newsweek)
Dizzy sez: Good for them. Young or old, regardless of country, citizens should always be able to think for themselves, whether their government likes it or not. Short of locking their country down, like North Korea, so long as the internet exists, despite censorship, China will continue seeing their young form their own opinions that are contrary to their country’s wishes. In the U.S. I hope the young continue to stand up against the impending authoritarianism that the current White House occupant keeps threatening.

Despite body cams, cops still behave badly. (The Root)
Dizzy sez: Sadly, body cams may catch cops continuing to behave badly. But, the problem is not just bad actors but a culture in which cops know that they will not be punished, even for killing a man; even when there is cam evidence showing the police acting in bad faith. Cameras are not enough, cops need to be held accountable, to prove to fellow officers and the community at large that they are not above the law.

It was nice to see the U.S. presidents come together for a good cause, this weekend. (BBC)
Dizzy sez: It is refreshing to see Americans come together for something positive; not just to protest or to stand up against something negative (Alt-right Nazis, for instance). Sadly (or fortunately), the current White House occupant opted to play golf, this weekend, and sent in taped remarks, instead.
