Throwback of the Day, where I post some old random picture from the past and share a story about it.
Denver Broncos-inspired granny square scarf, circa 2012-2013.
I’m a little obsessive when it comes to learning new things. As soon as I master a skill, I’m like a five-year old, out to impress the Grands, “Look what I can do?”. Then, when people are done noticing, I go about learning something new to impress myself with.
As soon as I learned the granny square, I discovered a pattern to add flowers to it and I was off to the races. I got the idea to do a granny square scarf from seeing a granny square bracelet on Pinterest or some place else on the internet. I made and sold a few, just like the one my partner, Joe, is modeling, in the picture above.
But, just like everything else I do, obsessively, despite the money, I got burned out from making them. Ever since, I’ve stuck to small items that I can make in a day and move onto something else, if I’m in the mood to.
In any case, I’m still pretty proud of this, even though I don’t make them, anymore.
