Craft of the Day: Knitted Sunflower Headband

I don’t do a lot of traditional knitting, but the first thing I made after I learned how to knit, was this headband, using elastic yarn. I used a small knitting loom to make the 3D flowers. This was a gift that I made for the person who actually taught me how to knit.

Craft of the Day: Butterfly Drawstring Bag

This bag was a special commission. It was done on the long loom with an extra-large crocheted butterfly to create a pocket big enough to hold a smartphone.

This was the first time I had even considered crocheting anything that looked like socks. It was small enough to get me to try it. It turned out to be so easy that I made half-a dozen of them for my friends and coworkers, at the time.
